There is a slight chance my husband and I will be moving to Huntsville due to husband's job. I currently work as a legal secretary (about 20 yrs experience and pretty much the only work experience I have). Will I have a hard time finding a job there?

Where are you moving from. I was a Legal Secretary in Michigan. I went on a job interview in Decatur, which is about a half hour from Huntsville, the pay was exactly one-half of what I made in Michigan. However, the cost of living is cheaper here.

One of my friends had about the same time in with one attorney and decided to change. She has since been with at least two other groups, each time at an increase in salary. My guess is that, with bonuses, she is making in the $50-$60K range.

I'm from Charleston, WV and this area is saturated with attorneys, so getting a job here is not a problem. However, I don't know anyone here making $50,000 - 60,000 per year.

I'm not getting too stressed about it yet. Like I said, there is only a very slight chance of a move but I am curious about the area. Overall, sounds like a good place to live.
