Seriously man go to ford.com and look it up. The point being made is that its silly to assume everyone who drives a ford or GM pick up truck is cheap especially when a limited or Denali can get up over 50 grand. An engineer may be happy driving a ten year old pickup or Honda.

It "looks" like Huntsille does not have enough big spenders and those who want to look like they are big spenders to support what Bridge Street started out to cater to which is why it seems to be heading in the traditional retail experience to fill its empty spots.

To me, the upper end ford, gm, ti yota, nissan, etc. are competing well with luxury brands. Even hun day makes nice cars that I can almost afford. I never understood why people buy bmw, lexus. etc. when you are paying a lot more to get a slightly better car... not to mention how the mechanics price gouge these high end consumers!!

You are the "exception to the rule". I have many bad experiences with mechanics in general. The good, honest ones have thriving businesses over time and in my experience have been hard to find. I always use "local" shops over dealerships and it is a risky proposition until you find a good one.

I have always been a shade tree mechanic. The newer cars though have been harder to get around so I am currently shopping around for a new mechanic. Anyone have any good leads?

When you can afford one, or find a good deal on used ones, you should give them a try. There is a value in quality that is noticeable.

Agreed, I currently drive a leased Acura & after dealing with years of driving just "a car", I'm enjoying the luxury & feel of power, comfort & speed!
