I would think if the BS developers were after some sort of grand experience with a super regional draw they would be after something a little more exclusive then a Chili's

Hey now! Don't bad mouth my Chili's

'Nsync Chili's Babyback Ribs Commercial - YouTube

But yes, something more exclusive would be better.

Although a more everyday place would bring people in, vs the "Special" event places like PF and Connor's.

But the rent is too **** high, for anything below higher dollar fare.

I don't know how Bar Louie will do...

Is Red Robin considered high dollar fare?

I think it could do better located on University closer to Madison.

I never liked the idea of "gourmet hamburgers". There are just things, IMHO, that need to remain simple and fairly priced.

I don't care about "gourmet hamburgers" either and never go in the places like Red Robin. A hamburger is just a hamburger to me, sure there is a difference between the real ones and the cheap junk at McDonalds but it is still just a hamburger. The only time and I mean ONLY time I order a hamburger at a sit down with server type of restaurant is when the menu absolutely sucks and I can't find anything else. Then I just never go back to that restaurant again.

If I want a gourmet hamburger I go to Geezburger at Browns Ferry or Little Paul's downtown.

I am very prideful about just slapping a nice 80/20 meat down on a charcoal grill and turning out some of the best tasting burgers while drinking some Swillbrauen. Beats ANY restaurant burger out there.

Hmmm, that Geezburger place sounds good, I think I'll make a day trip out there...

Red Robin or Mooyah are close I guess and good enough for me but here is whats considered gourmet enough of a burger for the Summit. I have not eaten a 14 or 21 dollar "ham"burger yet but they have them:

Milos in Bham is the best to me and it is not "gourmet". I wish we had one in HSV!!
