Had Sunrise for lunch yesterday. Gotta say I'm not too impressed. And I'm not a picky pizza guy either. It's like a Subway sandwich style pizza place. The ingredients looked like standard canned items you could find at your local grocery store. It wasn't terrible, but certainly not worth a second visit.

yeah, I don't have enough money to waste on this place. Sorry, I can't do it.

Imo's - If I'm in St Louis I'm going the other way. Still one of the worst pizzas I've had. Randy's Wooster Street in Southington, was the worst ever.

Imo's meatball or Italian sausage sandwich was one of the best I've ever had though.

Ok.

First off, the owner was doing face to face with customers, his family appeared to be running the place.

Everyone was very nice.

Now, the pizza didn't inspire greatness, but it was far from terrible.

It was a pretty good price. It is basically better than gas station pizza, but falls short of much else.

The first thing that came to mind was Chuckie Cheese! It tastes just like it. Now for those of you who didn't eat it growing up, you may be confused, but I think in some way it made me like it more? Memories and all. Chuckie Cheese actually changed their pizza a few years ago and I don't like it anymore.

Of course I only had it once since I was a kid and that one time was on a lark.

So for a quick lunch in the area, I'd say go for it. It is not my favorite, but I have had worse, much worse! It's better than most frozen pizza I have had.

Posting a photo is a pain on this site, so I'll skip that, but it didn't look terrible, it looked good. I will gauge the leftovers and perhaps return with the wife.

I can see how it could be ok, but it's location and advertisements are terrible. In addition with Slaughter Rd construction and parking lot blockades, it could be a challenge for them to survive.

What construction? I drive Slaughter almost every day and haven't seen anything there at that intersection. What am I missing?

Slaughter Rd is undergoing some utilities upgrades for road expansion sometime in the distant future.

And for some reason they blockaded the parking lots from Sunrise's side and the Steak Out one.

Double blockade.

They use to just have speed bumps, but this is ridiculous.

Ah, the issue is in the parking lot. Since Steak Out closed, I haven't had a reason to drive through there.

Thanks for the info!

You mean Pauli's?

The Steak Out is still open. Hasn't closed.

Looks like they didn't make it through the first year. My wife was by there today and said it was closed. Can't say I'm surprised.
