It is North Alabama British Motoring Society.
I assume the NABMS still has their monthly meeting the first Tuesday of the month?

Yeah, I was never a fan of NEWKS. I know why Ben and a few others picked it. I just wish we could have found a place that served beer AND good food. I really don't hate it, but I got sick 4 out of the 5 meetings I went to there...

Staff was accommodating.

Of course the worst compromise place was Oh Bryans. That place was 5lbs of crap in a 3lb sack.

So glad it's our DMV now.

It was the Madison DMV for a couple weeks and now it is just a maintenance storage facility. Very strange...

Really? Last time I looked a few months ago it was not longer on the License Department website and I only saw maintenance equipment stored at the location, so I assumed it wasn't an active DMV location anymore. I just checked and it is in fact back on the license department website, so I stand corrected. Sorry for the mis-information.

License Department - Drivers License

North Alabama British Motor Society? Is that where people have their Triumphs and MG's towed to the restaurant to show them off?

(Sorry, had to say that. Dad used to have a POS TR3. That doesn't stand for point of sale. I've always wanted a TR7, until I came to my senses.)

Yes, that is it.

Not much deviate from those. Alphas and Jags are welcome, but really if you have a european car of any mark you are welcome.

Ahh the TR7...

The one and only reason that a TR has a bad reputation in the US is the owners and/or their wannabee mechanics that have no clue how to work on those cars.
My experience with Brit cars goes back to the mid 1960s and it was only in the US that I have heard most of the complaints.
I can write books and how dumb some owners and their mechanics are when it comes to a very simple SU carburetor.
And the jokes about Lucas tell more about their owners and mechanics than about the Lucas products.
I can install the very same Lucas product on a TR/MG/Jaguar/AH and never have a problem with it, explain that.
Simple, use dieelectric grease on the contacts.

I've been to two meetings there, and that was it for me.
Food on a scale of 0 to 10 : 1
Personnel on a scale of 0 to 10 : 2 on a good day.

I do give it a 1st price for the worst restaurant in Madison County.
