It is that time of year!! Huffbuffer is seeking a good place this week to have wings and watch football. I am looking for suggestion for what has the best atmosphere for a game. Not really hung up on best wings at this point but more for a good game experience in a non-smoking atmosphere. Anyone have any suggestion? Madison area preferably and I will exclude:
  • Jeffersons - wasnt happy with the experience last time I tried during football season
  • Wingzilla - I believe they close at 9??
  • Bisons - Last I recall it was smoking in the bar area
  • ..or any wings place that is more of a family restaurant. Same as point above with closing times

I would give anything for a Buffalo Wild Wings in Madison

Regards
Huffbuffer

Thanks for the reply. It may be a bit out of range for me. I do enjoy that location, though. But if I ever have to choose between that and the Madison Square Mall location, I will gladly drive the extra distance. The mall is a waste of a good BWW, IMHO.

It may be more miles but it's fast: 565/Parkway/Airport.

I've always enjoyed going to Baumhower's (Wings) during football season. It's been more of my NFL Thursday/Sunday night football spot though. For me, SEC football is best enjoyed with friends at the house.

I've heard good things about Knuckleheads in Madison but I haven't tried it myself yet....Hooter's is always good too.

I usually stay at home for college ball but opening day is just a magical day. I may try Knuckleheads...may be as close as it gets to the Buffalo Wild Wings style of atmosphere.

Knuckleheads is a little more like hooters with women dressed in little school girl outfits, if I remember correctly. That should be a safe bet though if your looking to stay in and around madison.

Knucleheads is closed.

The management was not stellar.

I mean how hard is it to sell the hooters model to people???

Really? Wow - that location is getting to be "one of those locations." The next tenant will probably be a mattress store or another Mexican restaurant.
