Good morning,

I have an issue with a spigot leaking behind my brick. This will more than likely call for going through the drywall to fix the leak.

Problem: When no hose pipe is attached, the water runs just fine with no signs of leakage. When you attatch a hose pipe to the spigot, water runs from the weep hole that is parallel with the spigot water line.

No. I did not leave a hose attached to this spigot. This is actually the first time a hose pipe has been attached to it.

House is only a year old.

Any advice? Any reputable Plumbers?

Thanks guys

If it's only a year old your home warranty should cover those repairs.

Thanks for the replies. I already contacted my builder and they're saying this is not covered (my one year is up). The recommendations I get here are my contingency plan.

Mr. Rooter is going to be expensive. If you're going to foot the bill, get them to come out and do an estimate and then ask the guy if he can do it on the side for cash. You may save a good bit of money.

I wanted to post a follow-up. I actually used B&C based off of recommedation from a friend. GREAT speedy service. Reasonalbe price also.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. Turns out my hose bib did not freeze and burst. Someone knocked a hole in it during the construction process. O well, it's fixed now.
