Same thing happened with a Puerto Rican restaurant that was here. It moved from Athens to Madison, but no one knew what they ate. We liked it (I loved the mofongo) but the restaurant was usually empty.

Yeah, I resigned myself to that when we started moving. I will say that Huntsville surprised me with the amount of Asian places though. (And is it me or are there more Koreans than I thought would be here? o.O) Miami is large on the Latin food, but other nationality/cultural foods are few, far, and not necessarily quality.

Btw, which is the Mexican place-- in Huntsville I believe-- that serves beef tongue (lingua)? My husband loves that.

Las Trojas Cantina
3760 Highway 53, Huntsville, AL 35806

Is by F-A-R the best Mexican place I've found in Huntsville, hands double down!
They have live music some nights - other nights they have trivia - on Wednesday night they have Questionary - a game like Family Feud... it's a great spot!

Service is speedy fast - very attentive - I love this place!
Prices are very reasonable and food is fantastic.
They have another location on Hwy 72 but this one's closer to the house and we eat there very often!

Absolutely - for Tex-Mex we go to Buenavista (by Target on 72) - they often feature Ceviche, which I looooooove

I had El Coyote for the first time today. Nice buffet and great service. Will definitely go back. Maybe even for dinner tonight.

I think La Almeda's is better. Coyote is fast though.
