Cajun Steamer in Trussville is terrible. My mom and son went there not long ago and neither could eat their food....and he's a teenager, a human garbage disposal. I've never thought it was good. Hopefully its just that location and not indicative of the chain as a whole.

Now I want to go to Po Boy Factory....

Well the one in Franklin sucks as well...guess we've just reviewed all 3 of their locations.

I give them 8 months and they'll be closed.

Yeah I'm not really blown away by this announcement. That being said I wish them well.

Don't know anything about the Cajun Steamer, but I am excited about Twickenham. I think we're seeing a resurgence of downtown.

This is true...I hope it is a start of more businesses and restaurants to move downtown.

Actually the Cajun Steamer is great food. It truly resembles the food in Nawlins including the spiciness. Pity they often have to lessen it because too many people complain it's too hot. Then again these same complainers often love the bland food of the Cracker Barrel which makes me want to barf due to how bland it is.

I am sorry I didn't blow your mind with this post.

I feel I let you down.

On another note, it sounds like no one likes this place.

Looks like Tim's and PoBoy 4eva.

Oh yeah? My son does some architectural work for the chain. Only one I've been to is the one at Galleria in Birmingham. He loves it, but he likes seafood. I don't like seafood - I thought it was OK. I probably had a chicken sausage gumbo or red beans & rice.

I think that the Patton Creek location is the flagship in Birmingham. (first) It is always packed. I have not found it lacking particularly, but I really believe they serve food just to avoid being called a bar.

I like the atmosphere, but that may be due to the alcohol. lol (festive)
