Called Waynes up today. Really reasonable. I think I'd be spending only marginally less doing it myself. Good suggestions folks!

Damn. That's steep. Comes out to $540 / year. You must make some good coin. I only pay $3 bills for .44 acres. With 7 treatments per year. It really becomes like 10 treatments because I harass them for more weed treatments and fertilizer

With my .2 acre lot, they quoted me 264 a year for 7 or 8 treatments. This also includes soil analysis and lime if needed. That seemed like a good deal considering the cost of herbicides and fertilizers throughout the year to do it myself.

Do they base their prices on total acreage or treated acreage?

That sounds pretty reasonable and standard to me. Are they giving you the first treatment for free? Plus spending a little more on having them do it may be worth it since you're not going to have to spend the extra time to do it yourself. As bmrisko said mowing and edging can take long enough as it is and Bermuda grass should really be mowed once a week or two at the most.

Hmmmm... I have a 0.5 acre lot. I got the first two months free. Maybe I should shop around. I know I'm not going to do it myself.
