After having some issues with the current builder we have and the neighborhood (not going to mention names) we are thinking about selling and moving. Want to stay if possible in the Heritage->Liberty->James Clemens school district, but like newer houses.

Any builders preferred over any others?

Subdivisions preferred?

Brown's Ferry Crossing thoughts? The Heritages? What about CrownePoint a bit farther into Madison, its a Jeff Benton neighborhood.

Anyone ever have any issues?

I live in Browns Ferry Crossing and it is a wonderful neighborhood. There is a nice mix of ages and family types and a real community feel. Drive by on any nice day and you will see lots of people at the pool, people out walking, and lots of kids playing. Our neighborhood Facebook page is active and you can find answers to most questions quickly. We are almost built out; however, my house and my daughter's are both newer houses and both for sale - hers is a Jeff Benton, ours is Ken McDaniels. I am sending you a private message with the links to both in case you have any interest.

Browns Ferry Crossing is really nice, I believe Pearson Homes, Breland Homes, and Ken McDaniel Homes are the current builders in there.

Here is Pearson Homes' link for Browns Ferry Crossing: Pearson Homes, Inc. | New Homes in Huntsville

Here is Breland Homes' link for Browns Ferry Crossing: Communities of Breland Homes

Here is Ken McDaniels' link for Browns Ferry Crossing: Ken McDaniel New Home Builder in Huntsville and Madison Alabama building in Lake Forest, Browns Ferry Crossing,

There is also Whitworth Farms at the corner of County Line Road and Hardiman Road and Mark Harris is currently building in there: Huntsville Home Builders | Welcome | Mark Harris Homes LLC

What's your price range? That will be a big determining factor.

The Heritage neighborhoods are the most solid. Houses in Heritage Provence are selling very well right now, and Heritage Plantation always has been popular. I have had three clients over the past couple of years that targeted Heritage Provence and waited until a property they liked came on the market, they wanted to be in that specific neighborhood.

Browns Ferry Crossing has remained a bit of a hard sell the past couple of years and prices have dropped. Good builders, but very small lots.

Never hear anything regarding Jeff Benton neighborhoods. I have clients in several different ones, including Millstone and Crown Pointe, and they all love it. Crown Point is right there at Columbia (great elementary) and Millstone has the benefit of being right beside the greenway (and its Mill Creek, another great school).

Jim Wright has Cambridge West coming up towards the end of the year/early next year, but that will NOT be a part of Heritage Plantation, yet will be the same price point and floorplans.

I'm leary about "Legacy" which is basically Hunter Homes in a fancier package and a different name. Their prices seem REALLY high right now, I just don't see how he's going to compete with Jeff Benton.

According to LCTMadison, it sounds like No, it will not. Cambridge and the "Town of Cambridge" are both part of Heritage Plantation. Sounds like Cambridge West is something separate, although the name leads one to assume a connection.

I'm very interested to see how this develops going forward. Stoneridge sold out Town of Cambridge so fast, you'd think they were giving them away. Great homes & amenities for the money. Hopefully Cambridge West will be along the same lines.

So, where exactly is this going to be built? I know a LOT of the land West of Burgreen & Hardiman has been or is being snatched up by developers as Madison continues to push its Western border.
