Likely, a seat belt would have saved his life and would have walked away with minimal injuries like the young gentleman in the wreck that wore his seat belt. RIP, Lutzy.

Oh, I thought it was a female that was wearing the seatbelt. I just don't understand why people don't wear them. I had a friend killed in an accident a few years ago that got ejected in a fairly minor crash.

According to the al.com article it was the guy. But either way, the one that wore the seat belt was released from the hospital with minimal injuries. I dont understand either. I honestly feel naked if I am sitting in a car without my seat belt on.

As a fanatical Bama fan, I remember the young man well. I recall watching Auburn games leading up to the Iron Bowl and thinking how tough he would be to stop.. he was an old school smashmouth football player. This makes me sick.
