So basically I would pay more to use it. The Costco deal specifically states (in fine print) that you can not use the friend referral.

Also, the guy on chat said they no longer have the $100 Visa card offer.

Yes they do. I got it Saturday. You need to call and talk to someone. The online chat guys don't seem to know a whole lot.

So I will have DirecTV installed Friday afternoon. I have to admit, I'm very impressed so far. I just hope that can be maintained.

I called after I had placed my order and asked about the $100 Visa card. He said they no longer offer that but he gave me $100 instant credit on my bill. So first month is free plus a little off the next month.....even better.

I am a little concerned about the placement of the dish. My house faces south and slightly east. I have two large trees in the front yard. I may end up having to put the dish on a pole.

We've had nothing but good luck so far. Excellent picture quality and the tech even gave us his personal cell in the event that something happened. The other night our bedroom tv went white and I called him to find out what was going on. He quickly walked me through how to fix it and we were back on in less than 5 minutes. I do pay more per month, but it's worth it.
