Saw the sign out front today when I was on way to drop daughter off at LMS. No idea if it's Joe or someone else.

Also.....have any homes sold in the new "Applewood" subdivision at corner of Balch & Gillespie? Just curious.

Breland has starting building in their new "Baker's Farm" neighborhood on Burgreen Rd. and Stoneridge is working away on site prep for their "Cambridge West" also on Burgreen. Clearing has begun for the new (Mungo I think) subdivision going in at the corner of Powell & Burgreen, also. New houses springing up everywhere. Are this many new residents expected in Madison? Or are these builders setting themselves up for a repeat of 2008? (Lord, let's hope not)

They cyclists who love to bike Burgreen, Powell, and Browns Ferry Rd (where the white lines are literally painted next to grass) better look out....these roads are about to become a LOT more busy!

Just noticed the same thing yesterday.....can't remember ever seeing so many new neighborhood starts in this small an area. Has the new providence clone started on the end of Holladay/Brownsferry?

I know! And let's not forget Burgreen Place, which is selling fast, and the Valor neighborhood further North on Burgreen. Westhaven, I think it is? It's crazy!

I haven't been out Browns Ferry toward Holladay lately so IDK the status of that.

I predict Bakers Farm (Breland) and Cambridge West (Stoneridge) will sell fairly quickly because of the price point and because they are both a known commodity. Will probably take Mungo & Valor longer to get going. But still....IDK where these people are coming from. new to area? moving from differet part of town? Madison residents who are moving up/down in house size? It's just amazing that they think there's demand for this much NEW construction.

That new Valor neighborhood looks ridiculous. The houses look to be way too large for the lots and the houses appear to be right on top of each other. I don't see all these neighborhoods filling out as fast as Stoneridge did in Cambridge. The main draw there was the well-established neighborhood w/ tons of amenities. None of these new neighborhoods appear to have any amenities yet, so I'm interested to see how well they sell. I do wish they would totally re-do Burgreen instead of adding the turn lanes at every neighborhood where they just extend the shoulder and curve around the turn lane. Burgreen is soon going to look like a snake if they keep adding those...

I agree with you on all points.

It's a screwed up plan because once these neighborhoods on the West side of Burgreen get going, there won't be anyway TO widen the road without encroaching onto people's backyards. B&B crossroads is going to have to get a red light and turning lanes. The current 4-way stop isn't going to cut it.

And you're absolutely right about no amenities. Neither Stoneridge neighborhood, nor the Breland neighborhood will have amenities, so they lost us as potential buyers. We definitely want at least pool & clubhouse in our next neighborhood.

Yes, they've started carving out a street (or streets?) next to Holladay Boulevard.

The development is going to be called Villages of Oakland Springs and they have released the site plan: Villages of Oakland Springs site plan
