Since when were entry-level jobs supposed to provide a living wage? I worked minimum wage jobs realizing that wasn't where I wanted to spend my career. No one is entitled to a well-paying job.

Who is to say that everyone that applies for these jobs will get one?

On the flip side, I see lots of "entry level" positions for college graduates still requiring 2-5 years of experience.

If you can't get into college I would recommend to fast food workers and retail salesman to attend trade school and get a trade like welding or plumbing. You can make good money as a welder my buddy does it any makes like 30 an hour during outages. If you have a skill like a construction worker or welder you could make more than a new college graduate. My first few jobs out of college I only made 10-12 an hour which is insane compared to the fact you just paid 60-100 grand for a Bachelor Degree. The Master's Degree is becoming like the new Bachelor's Degree. This country is getting scary.. the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poor and he middle class is disappearing because they have less manufacturing jobs.

I worked in my field of study while I went to college - there are internships and co-op jobs.

If that is true then that is truly scary. Let me guess 2-5 years experience and a college degree and they pay 12dollars an hour. That is what America is becoming.

I have had jobs that you had to had experience plus a college degree for 10-13 bucks an hour. America is getting kinda scary. You need a masters degree or higher to get a decent paying job in America now

Not true - relevant experience can trump a master's degree. Certifications can also make you stand-out from the crowd. The proper experience and certifications, along with the right bachelor's degree can result in applicants becoming "purple squirrels" in the IT world.

For those who don't pursue a college degree there are specialized fields that require training and/or certification and pay quite well.
