There are only 2 types of spiders
1. live spiders

then... SQUISH!

2. Dead spiders.

Your picture is of #1.
I like #2 the best.

I agree and nope, that pic is dead, not squashed, but a very healthy dose of Spectracide.

I'm just hoping that's not a Brown Recluse.....

based on a few folks that argue every statement made here, no matter what, I will not make a stand on what kind of spider it is. But off the record it doesn't look like a BR to me.

So I had to look up spiders & a BR has a dark fiddle shape on its body...this doesn't - kreepy thing that it is!!

Nope.. not a brown recluse. Been seeing quite a few past few yrs... my sis has been inundated with them. It's similar but the fiddle is pretty distinct.

Looks like a Grass Spider, indigenous to AL, Ageneopsis spp. I hope you let it be ALIVE...they eat all kinds of bugs and cockroaches! They also make BIG gorgeous webs!
