Its open but the light cycle (from I-565W to County Line North) is way too short. Having to cross three lanes to get in turn lane "may" be an issue during mornings. Still, it is a nice addition.

I came in from the west side today and noticed how short of a turn lane that hyw20 has turning right onto county line. A woman trying to turn right almost got popped by the car ahead of me. I can foresee an accident at that area. Really was poor design to not include a well-endowed right turn lane from hwy 20 to county line.

Even the left turn lanes from County Line to Hwy 20 is wonky and too narrow and sharp of a turn. It's almost a 90 degree turn. That's ALDONT for ya.

No kidding! Hopefully it will help relieve some of the stress in Madison, it really is a pretty terrible design.

Hey, I'm just glad you can access both westbound and eastbound 565 from County Line now! It cannot be worse than that crazy exchange at 565/Research Park Blvd with people having to cross over lanes.

As bad as that exchange is meow, at least when it was built, the traffic wasnt terrible for the time. The bad turning lanes here just make no sense.

I agree. I'm extremely happy it is there. Just the poor engineering on the turn lanes is frustrating and really amateurish.

Amen!

The 565/Research Park Blvd exchange is bass-ackwards; I can't stand it. And the entire Parkway design with the continual merging on & off and frontage roads is awful, too.

I like this area, obviously, but for a city its size, HSV has the worst road design and infrastructure of any city I'm familiar with.
