unless King cooper and his minions decide otherwise. Huntsville/Madison county has been held hostage by aldot for thirty years. This interchange has taken at least 10 years to build.

in typical aldont fashion don't be surprised if there is a delay..wrong or no signs, improper
paving, messed up striping or some other "issue" they missed.
Lets's hope this relatively simple interchange will open as promised..it only took 10 years.

But they make it sound like they have done something great

"The new County Line Road interchange at I-565 has been ahead of schedule for months."

If it weren't for being screwed by the highway department it would have been finished years ago .
Ask the gods at aldot about overpasses at Moores Mill, Parkway overpasses, I-565 widening, you won't get an answer other than we will do it when we feel like it or you (HSV) can pay for it yourself.

While having the interchange done will be great, it really isn't going to alleviate traffic between Wal-Triana and County Line Rd for one simple reason: They didn't expand 565 westbound to three lanes all the way to Wal-Triana.

So what is going to happen is all of that traffic that has been getting off at the Wal-Triana, will now try to squeeze into two lanes for the next couple of miles. It already piles up on most days in that direction. This should be fun...

Can anyone confirm if the entrances and exits for both directions are open now?

This article said Westbound lanes are still in-progress. So basically, that would mean we can't exit if coming from Huntsville yet?
