this is just a total guess on my part, but I am thinking the OP bought a house on the far east side of Madison, in what is actually Huntsville and now they want their kids at Bob Jones instead of Columbia.

Wouldn't putting a neighborhood out of the city then put it into the county? Even if all that area out there on the west side of Huntsville was put back into county, that would put them in Limestone County or Madison County school systems.
