Apparently Ryan's Buffet on University Drive has closed down, personally I am not a Ryan's or any buffet fan but hate to see businesses have to close, the food business is just so hard to make it in.

Food was sometime cold and mostly straight out of the can to the table.

25 years ago, when our kids were little we would go there. Easy to feed a couple of kids and leave a mess under the table. Diced ham, grated cheese, and jello. Once our kids developed taste buds we never went back.

Still sad to see it go.

I remember when it was a Quincy's. If they cleaned the place up it might have done better. Some of the Ryan's locations are very nice.

It has been a while since I have eaten there. It just kept getting worse and worse. I equated their food to school lunch room food which I rarely ever ate back in the day either. Basically slop out of a can.

Whatever happened to Quincys? I remember going to the one in Madison and the yeast rolls were the bomb. I know they closed all the Hsv. stores, haven't seen them in decades.

Quincy's filed for bankruptcy in 97 and just never made it back, I was fan and miss it.

Default Ryan's #2135, 1808 University Drive Northwest, Huntsville, Alabama 35801-5743

Ryan's was a decent restaurant. After being acquired by Buffets, Incorporated, it has gone downhill with a decrease in the quality of service, a decrease in the quality of food, and an increase in the price. I can easily think of at least 12 popular locations in North Carolina and South Carolina that have closed.

If I want steak at a buffet, I may try Golden Corral next time.
