I think I'll get a bunch of stickers just to see if you actually do that

crossfitters? Do you mean the Watergate plumbers? Far stretch! Lame!

Atheists are not highly correlated the vegans, or any meat-phobics. Some like meat, I liked a big steak! There are more lost pseudo-religious who are vegans.

Not being much of a beer drinker, I guess I have to go to the local church for free wine and wafers instead. I'm not sure how to redistribute the pews? I'm OUTRAGED that they want a 10% tax though. Durned socialist Christians always in your wallet...

(Hey, if you are going to bring politics into the forum with impunity, we might as well include religion as well. With luck we might sneak in a little sex too.) (All in fun - no Christians or politicians were harmed in this movie.)

Yeah, the bartender at Yellowhammer tried to dissuade political debate - until she admitted that she liked The Pixies and then I had her:

Politics go so good with beer...

I don't actually live in Alabama, I just saw this forum pop up on the "Active Threads" panel and had to chime in since I'm a beer snob and home brewer.

If you guys can get Deschutes there, I highly recommend Mirror Pond and Black Butte (their more nationally available stuff). Mirror Pond has been my "lawn mower" beer for about 15 years.

Anyhow, it's cool to see good beer from my part of the country has made it's way down to yours. Roll Tide!

Lagunitas? My estimation of you has risen

Dangerous Dave - Yellowhammer has a taproom at their brewery to serve their own beer. I recommend visiting them on Firkin Tuesday but get there fairly early (5 -6) if you want to try what's in the firkin.

Oskar Blues is available at our friend Deesonic's place 'Wish you were beer' on University Drive near Madison or at 'Old Town Beer Exchange' on Holmes St. downtown or at 'Liquor Express' on University Dr. east of the Parkway. Oskar Blues is good beer with local connections (I like their 'Ten Fidy' Russian Imperial Stout).

BTW Salty Nut is open at the old Yellowhammer facility just down Clinton from the new Beer Mall. Salty Nut also hosts Wild Bean Coffee's roasting operation and Wild Bean is moving their retail from the Belk Loft lobby to Amendment 21 (open until noon M-F).
My wife and I went to Salty Nut a couple weeks ago. One of the owners/operators used to work with us at Boeing.

Their Hawt Blonde and Moustache Red Ale were pretty good. I wish you could get them in local stores or at least at Wish You Were Beer.

Nice! If you see Brutal IPA, it's the best out there. If you like IPA, that is.
