At least one of the Yellowhammer owners voted for Bernie Sanders. Go to Yellowhammer and ask for your 'Bernie beer' - they have beer and you don't. Ask for your beer, it's only fair...

Perhaps they'll change the company name to Yellowhammer and Sickle.

Yeah that is not fair. They have way more beer than I have and they should divvy it up among us all. No one should have more than others. lol

How does one find out how another votes? Am I mistaken or is it a secret ballot?

Sanders supporters (like vegans, atheists, and crossfitters LOL) seem to be unable to keep their mouths shut about it, secret ballot or not. :-D

Agree completely. Cruz supporters (like bible thumpers, pit bull breeders, and bigots) are much better at keeping quiet.

But, setting aside local politics, @Reactionary: what do you think of their beer? I'm a big fan of the craft brewery explosion in North Alabama, but my wimpy liberal palate prefers pilsners, while most of the local beers tend to be on the hoppy side. One of my favorites: Lagunitas Pils (brewed in California). Anything local that is similar?

Can you get Oskar Blues there? They have one called Yella Pils, I believe. Their "Dale's Pale" is a lot more prolific in markets outside of Denver.

Or there's Miller Light.

As far as the Bernie fans go, when I see a car with a Bernie sticker, I just take 70% of their lugnuts and redistribute them fairly to people who don't have cars.

Omar - I like Yellowhammer's beer (and the people who work there). Like you, I'm a big fan of the craft brewers in Huntsville, Madison, and Florence (plus Bham, Tuscaloosa, Gadsden, and Fairhope). I like to think of Huntsville as the craft beer capital of Alabama. Try Yellowhammer's Belgian White Ale (Witbier - more wheaty than Pils but not hoppy).

Lagunitas? My estimation of you has risen

Dangerous Dave - Yellowhammer has a taproom at their brewery to serve their own beer. I recommend visiting them on Firkin Tuesday but get there fairly early (5 -6) if you want to try what's in the firkin.

Oskar Blues is available at our friend Deesonic's place 'Wish you were beer' on University Drive near Madison or at 'Old Town Beer Exchange' on Holmes St. downtown or at 'Liquor Express' on University Dr. east of the Parkway. Oskar Blues is good beer with local connections (I like their 'Ten Fidy' Russian Imperial Stout).

BTW Salty Nut is open at the old Yellowhammer facility just down Clinton from the new Beer Mall. Salty Nut also hosts Wild Bean Coffee's roasting operation and Wild Bean is moving their retail from the Belk Loft lobby to Amendment 21 (open until noon M-F).
