Do you know an estimated height of the proposed new tower?

It looks like 7 stories. Wouldn’t call it a tower but that’s hospital terms I guess lol

Best I can tell, anything >3 stories in Huntsville is a "tower".

Is the location in the vicinity of where McDonald's is now? Maybe next to the Blackwell "Tower"?

not far, its between Blackwell and Twickenham Square, directly across from the hospital main entrance.
There is a single level building there and parking lots now.
This view is looking toward Twickenham Square, Hospital main entrance to the right, new skywalk also shown

Looks like a nice building, and sizable too. I think I have the location down now. Thanks.

The current buildings of the hospital typically have adjacent parking garages.

Actually, there is no public parking on this land now. There are unattractive one story medical office buildings which look like they were built in 1961 at the height of the growth boom which Huntsville experienced with the Space Program. HSV Hospital owned all but one of them and I guess they were able to buy out the doctor who owned the last parcel.

An advantage for HH employees is that they will now be able to walk to the employee parking garage immediately to the west without getting outside in the rain, etc. Kudos to HH for creating a completed connected medical complex - every building including the Governors Tower to the Twickenham Square building to this new addition to the Orthopedic Center and the Women's and Children's Hospital to the east are all interconnected and visitors never have to get outside when going between them.

This is CITY not METRO
U.S. Census population estimates, released Thursday, stated that Huntsville added by far the most people to its population of any city in the state from 2016 to 2017. With Toyota Mazda in the future things will continue to change dramatically

A new $750M high tech data center is coming to Huntsville. It will be on a large plot in north Huntsville, I think in the same industrial park as the Toyota engine plant. It'll only have 50 new jobs, but they will be "high paying", averaging about $80K.
