OK, I'll revise it. We'll be lucky if ALDONT has this done by 2030.

Anything new on the Galaxy/CinePlanet 15 theater in Madison near Hughes and 72? It looks to be near completion but haven't really found much news on it.

Last I heard it was to open in May but nothing on a grand opening yet.

Anyone know the status of the huge new Kroger going in at the SE corner of County Line and Hwy 72? Has it stalled? For a while things seemed to be progressing rather quickly. They poured the foundation and got landscaping in, but now there hasn't been any actual structural construction for quite some time.

A mattress store and nail spa will also be in that development.

That sucks. They don't even give a projected completion timeframe now. Hope that doesn't end up being a huge concrete field now.

It certainly needs improving. Never should have been built the way it is now.

I am puzzled that additional lanes between US 72 and Madison Pike on Research Park Blvd should be so expensive. Really all they need to do is fill in the median, pave, and install a concrete barrier. Even if they use some of the shoulder, it's all pretty flat and shouldn't need any bridge work.

Also, there is a US 72 project page up:

US72 West

The Jeff Road intersection concept is interesting, as I see no provision for left turns from US 72 (East or West) onto Jeff Road.

You are correct, no left turns. If you look at the details closely, you will notice that this is a 'Michigan turnback' configuration. These will be included in other updated areas of 72.
