Hey guys..moving to huntsville, alabama soon and not really sure what to expect as far as the racial demographic. I have been friends and dated people from all different backgrounds so I have never really had a problem with communicating and relating to all races. What is the setting like and should I be cognizant about dating other races?

Well they have the rocket city marathon and a few 5ks. I think you will find the city is great for runners or people who like to run in races.

Short version: No one gives a crap. Do what you want.
In my area of SC TN (about 40 miles NW of Huntsville) there are two mixed race couples. ZFG from anyone around here.

Huntsville is pretty tolerant. Not as diverse is Birmingham. While the previous poster said ZFG, the older demographic might.

You would have more issues from black people than white if you are a mixed race couple.

I think Huntsville and surrounding areas are becoming more for cyclist than anything else.

Exactly. People believe the nonsense out of Hollywood about the racist Southerners. The reality is that some of the most racist people in the country live in New York, Detroit, and they come in all colors and ages.

We are Puertorricans (Moved here from Up North after 15+ years there)
Our Family came to visit and they were impress with the people and the diversity "Non segregated" atmosphere in Huntsville.
The only Racism I had faced was in NJ.
