I have a 5 gallon gas can with old gasoline I kept for my lawn mower and never used. Is there anywhere in Huntsville where I can get rid of it? I know the auto parts stores will take your waste oil but will they take your bad gas too?

Call the local fire department, they often have practice fires and need an accelerant. Sometimes the forest service does controlled burns and will need gas as well.

Not sure if gasoline is acceptable with these guys -

Call them at 256-880-6054 to find out.
How old is this gas? I'd just mix it with my car gas and call it a day.

This Saturday happens to be the first Saturday of the month and that means it's hazardous waste disposal day at the Huntsville Solid Waste Disposal Facility. They will take old gas (oil, lawn chemicals, paint, household chemicals, etc). They have a speedy operation going from 8 to NOON. Drive up, give your zip code, and guys in white jumpsuits will unload your car and you are on your way again.
