We have terrible cell phone service up here and our cell phone extender (inernet) just died.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and install a cell phone booster. Something like a Wilson/weBoost Pro 70.

However, before I shell out +$1,100 for a booster system, I need to know if it's worth it. Cell phone boosters repeat and boost cell phone signals from an existing tower, but they don't create the cell phone signal. So I want an expert tom come out, see if it's worth it and then see what the installation fee is going to be.

Anyone know of a cell phone booster service in Hsv and/or surrounding area?

Thanks,

We are in a fringe area (at Bankhead Nat'l Forest) and the only cell service that works where we are is Verizon. Never tried another that worked where we live. We were getting dropped calls constantly and not enough signal for doing much of anything on a smart phone at all. My niece worked for Verizon and told us to try getting a Motorola phone instead of the other brands because it had a stronger radio card than the others and picked up the signal better. So, we got our Motorola phones and she was right. We have no trouble at all anymore. No dropped calls and can do everything we want/need on our cell phones. It's been 2 yrs now.
This may not help you but, if you are using a different phone and not a Motorola...it's worth a shot to check it out.
