I don't want to get everyone too excited, but I heard a rumor today that Whole Foods was coming to Bridge Street.

The only thing I could find online were old rumors from almost a year ago referring to a Wild Oats at Bridge Street, though. So I don't know if this deal was killed or is still in the works.

Wild Oats was on the BridgeStreet plan at the very beginning. That deal was killed a while ago I thought.

I miss Cool River Cafe (~ COOL RIVER CAFE ~) and Fogo de Chao (Welcome to Fogo de Chão), both were favorite client entertainment stops in TX. With the launch of Bridge Street we finally have a location that might attract such places.

Anybody heard the rumor of a grocery store locating in the Village of Providence, next to the Mellow Mushroom. It could possibly be a Whole Foods Market or Urban Style Publix.

Default Grocery for Village of Providence

The ASK US column in today's Huntsville Times addressed the question of a grocery store in the Village of Providence.

An urban style Publix would be smaller in size and located in an urban area. Probably around 25-35,000 sq feet.

Here are some pictures of the urban style Publix which opened last year in downtown Greenville, South Carolina:

I'd like to see a California Pizza Kitchen in Huntsville either at BridgeStreet, the new Constellation development, or in Jones Valley somewhere. I would think this would be a chain that could thrive in Huntsville they currently have two locations in Birmingham.

ohhh Fryes would be fANTASTIC...

I'd like to see Jim N' Nicks return-- I think they tried years ago but now are actively franschising across the state, mostly in Central Alabama. Their food is fantastic, the atmosphere is cool. Everybody oughta share some Kitchen Sink nachos sometime!

And yes, a Restoration place is needed badly!!
