Here's a store I think I'd like to see in HSV more than I would Trader Joes:

99¢ Only Stores - Home - Nothing Over 99¢ Ever!

Please -- not another dollar store! Madison has proved that we don't need any more, after Dollar General built one on every corner. They have since closed all but one, but have left all the empty eye sore buildings.

Gal, you REALLY need to get out at the local BBQ places more...ours beats Jim 'N Nick's any day...the only difference is that you can get a beer at JnN's...our bbq places tend to be virtuous...

It's not necessarily so much about being 'virtuous' as it is that Mom & Pop places can't afford the beer and license fees.

You're probably right...I also suspect they just don't want to fool with all the other cr*p that comes with serving alcohol.

Be still my heart! I would be in nirvana!! But if they can't come -- I want Wegman's or Trader Joes--Mandarin Orange Chicken is our favorite from TJ's!! I am going to be in serious grocery withdrawals when we move (no offense, but I've been in Publix--new one--nothing in comparison to my Weggies wah wah)

But there are other advantages--like lower prices, great community and awesome people...

Top Choices for Me in No Particular Order

1. Trader Joes
2. Wegmans
3. Cheesecake Factory
4. California Pizza Kitchen
5. Lebanese ANYTHING
6. Lucy's Active Wear
7. Eccos
8. Upscale Home Brew Winery Place (ah--le vino)
9. Anything ethnic that's NOT Italian (love it, but pulease!!)
10. A fun, eclectic fare restaurant with unique main courses (no shellfish please--allergies)

Wineries? that would be awesome but I am spoiled in NoVA with all the great wineries here--I'll learn to love muscadine grapes eh?
