It will be interesting to see if the merger of Spirit Airlines and Frontier has any affect on Frontier's service out of HSV. Currently, Frontier has one nonstop flight to Orlando two days a week. However, checking their website, this morning, the service is now classified as "Seasonal" with service to be discontinued after April 25th and restarting August 11th - That seems strange that Frontier would not operate the flight to Orlando during the summer vacation season when schools are out.

Several years ago, HSV lost low fare carrier AirTran when Southwest purchased them and Southwest decided that HSV did not fit into their plans, so here we are again with the merger of two low cost airlines and we can hope that the result will add service to new markets (Las Vegas would be a likely choice) and not lead to a departure of a low fare carrier at HSV.

Perhaps the Breeze service to Tampa has reduced Frontier's loads to Orlando.....
