I am just wondering if anyone knows for sure what's being built? I wonder just how bad the traffic will be effected in the area. School will be starting back in late August and we have one of the highest record of car wrecked in Madison.
I don't want to see it slow the morning and evening rush.

It is an IGA. As an aside, if you have kids in Madison City schools, they start back 8/7. If you are planning late August, they'll have a number on unexcused absences...

No my kids have Graduated from Bob Jones. It's been 3yrs since the last one. We all have to be on time to work and appt's. When we do leave a little early we seem to get caught in crazy traffic. I live on Wal Triana and it seems people don't know how to see break lights or turning signals. It's a thing to have wrecks on our street. Thank you for the info, I can't understand why it's built in that location, but I am afraid it might be a little bit of the under served population go to.
I was hoping it would be a new gas station that would put the old rude run down one out of business. I would like one to go to like macco's instead of Kroger's all the time.

It is a Crossroads IGA, which typically run about 10,000 square feet. About 1/4 of the size of the stores Publix has been building recently in the area.

Sounds like kind of a convenience store on steroids.

But, it's retail and Madison needs the tax money income. The town is way behind similar places, like Hoover. Property tax alone won't provide the services an affluent community expects.

Let's hope it lasts longer than that Dollar General (that used to be) just down the street.

I don’t think a convenience store is going to be the deal breaker when it comes to traffic in your area. You chose to live in Madison. An area that has nothing but mostly 1 lane roads and subdivisions for miles.

I'll take one around Beadle Ln.

Seriously, we have nothing for miles.
