I would invite anyone who is confused about the votes to pay a visit to the Huntsville subreddit. There are literally hundreds of upvotes for some of the proposed logos.

Minor league baseball names are always kooky and weird to attract interest.

I voted for the Comet Jockeys because I wanted something to reflect our space history, Moon Possums just didn't cut it for me and Space Chimps will end up in a lawsuit thanks to the uber PC crowd.

If I were a resident of the City of Madison, I would be concerned by the poor judgment that the baseball management has displayed and would worry about the financial investment made by the city.

Y'all are no fun. Those names are fantastic. I don't even like baseball and I might go to games if I get to root for the Space Chimps or Trash Pandas. At the very least I'd be buying a shirt, I mean. SPACE CHIMPS!

I mean, it's minor league. Might as well have fun with it.

Zenjenn - the chimpanzees sent into space were from Texas and New Mexico - nothing to do with this area. Miss Baker was a monkey.

It's just for fun. Though, Space Monkeys would be fine, too. :P

You'd think the proctology business would be booming in this town, based on some of the other people's comments.

Such as Huntsville Stars, Birmingham Barons, and Mississippi Braves?

What's wrong with Space Chimps (other than the fact that neither Baker or Able were chimpanzees)? Anyone who has a problem with that name, other than it being dumb as hell, is definitely uber-PC.

Maybe I lead a sheltered life, but I have never heard of a Trash Panda. Is that a normal term for a raccoon in some area of the country? I think Baker was a squirrel monkey ... maybe they could be the Madison Squirrel Monkeys ....

Have you never seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2? Rocket Raccoon? He's hilarious!

I think the actual term was born on Reddit.
