Can anyone possibly recommend a pediatrician in Madison?

Thanks!
Jessica

Default Pediatrician & Dentists

We use Field Pediatrics in Huntsville. Less than 30 minute drive from Madison, Hsvl, or Monrovia. We did try a couple of doctors in Madison, but their offices only accepted new children as newborns.

And for Dentist, try Alabama Pediatric Dental Assoc. Offices in Madison and Huntsville.

We have been seeing Dr.Horton with Twickenham Pediatrics in Huntsville for about 4 years. We recently moved to Harvest, but are going to continue to drive to Hsv for him - he is great and so is his staff! We also have been going to Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates. We have appointments there on April 16th in Hsv, but will make the next 6 month check up in the Madison office. Love teh Hsv office and have high hopes that the Madison office will be just as good.

We use Cornerstone Pediatrics in Madison, it is on Hughes Rd by the Post Office. They are great IMO, and have doctors specifically for sick and well patients so well visits rarely get backed up.

Default Thanks for the responses everyone!

HsvMike, before I read your post today, I coincidentally went to the same pediatric group that you recommended, next to the post office on Hughes Road. I wanted to get my daughter in asap because she woke up this morning with a congested cough and a slight rash. The doctor thinks she has a mild case of Eczema and possibly allergies too, which are causing the congestion. She never had anything like this before we moved here, so I'm hoping it's just her body adjusting to the new location.

I was really happy with their office and staff. Which doctor do your children see? I had to choose one, but I honestly don't even remember his name right now. I'll have to look back at our paperwork to find out.

Thanks for sharing!
Jessica

Hi Jessica, my children's doctor is Dr. Johnson. We really like him. I am glad that you had a good experience over there. We also use the dentist right across the hall for the kids. They really make going to the dentist fun, and the kids get to pick out a toy when they are all done.

See Dr. Johnson at Cornerstone Pediatrics on Hughes. He is the best! Talked to him recently and they are now accepting new patients. They are also about done with their new, larger office right behind the post office and will be hiring more doctors as they expand their practice.

Pediatric Associates of Madison are just down and across the road from the post office on Hughes. Dr. Dudley is great - she has taken care of all seven of my kids - they love her. 772-2037

Default Pediatrician shortage

There is a severe shortage in Madison, AL. Cornerstone may be your best bet as they are well regarded and are slowly taking new patients. Most other practices are closed to new patients except newborns.

I had to get my twins vaccinations at American Family Center in Madision (Hwy72 and Nance) and they were very nice. They billed my insurance, got in pretty quick, and gave my kiddos balloons after their shots. They also did my blue cards, which I needed as I just moved from out of state.

If you can't get into a Pedes practice now, you can visit walk-in places and possibly family practices in town.
