Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q was built where TGI Fridays was.
I think Value Place Huntsville University Drive was built where Darryl's was. I am not sure but Value Place may have closed also.

Friday's was never at that location, Bennigan's was however, that building is now a jewelry store.

There used to be a Steak & Ale too but.. I'm thinking that might have been beside Darryl's. I think there was a Cork & Cleaver across the street (or that might have been further down)

That section of University was known as Restaurant Row. Fogcutter. Steak N Ale. Old Hiedleburg. So many good places, that have moved on down the road or just gone for good.

TGI Friday's stayed in one place the entire time it was here. We went there a lot as fancy free young marrieds. Last time we went, we left because the music level was WAY too high. Gosh, I barely remember Darryl's. I think I only went there once.
Ruby Tuesday's is about dead.
Applebee's seems to have lost its way.
Looks like the fern bar is fast on its way to the restaurant graveyard, along with cafeterias and steak places like Bonanza.
