What are the newest (or most recently fully remodeled) hotels in or near Madison? Last year we experienced some mold issues and lack of overall cleanliness at one hotel near Madison that has good ratings, so I'm looking for newer properties in safe areas.

We stayed at the newer Holiday Inn Express, off Jeff Rd, on a recent visit and while it's a nice version of that chain it's not suited to the vertically challenged. I'm close to average height for a woman and found the bed and the bathroom vanity much too high. Its walk-in shower was awkward, too.

Google hasn't been very helpful since I mostly get links to hotels planned or under construction in or near downtown Huntsville. Ignoring cost and just focusing on location, safety and comfort, are there any hotels you'd recommend to your mother, grandmother or favorite aunt? Thanks!

Drury Inn, it's directly across from the Space & Rocket Center and opened in Fall 2018. My sister stayed there for Thanksgiving and it was about $92 per night. Another good option would be the Hampton Inn Huntsville in Providence, not sure when it opened but it's relatively new.

Depending on when you plan to stay, Hilton is finishing up a Home2 Suites off the Wall-Triana exit on 565. Their website lists that they will start taking reservation June 15th and after.

Looks like you may have some other options in that area in the future as well.. now just need some restaurants in walking distance for convenience

Thank you so much. I expect to return next week and haven't yet made reservations, so this is a big help.
