May be relocating to the Huntsville area. I have a hunter mare and participate in the 'A' circuit shows. Prefer a mostly adult barn with ring, jumps and a covered for rainy days. Equestrian communities may work. Willing to pay for a top facility with daily private turn out and clean, safe & great care. Commuting from home is not an issue.

Suggestions?

Wow. That is an area completely foreign to me, but I'll make a couple stabs that might get others to thinking. The only easily visible horse facility I've seen around is on 72 west of Rogersville coming towards Florence. It has always impressed me with the maintenance. The rodeo in Athens draws a lot of horsepeople. It is run by the county sheriff, Mike Blakely. Obviously, some people there know what, where, and how far. Lastly, Nashville has the track, so queries up there might find some hits closer to Huntsville. I see horses around all the time, but they are primarily pets AFAICT.

I've seen a horse facility on the east side of of Hwy 231 between the river and Arab ... maybe about halfway. I have no idea if they take in horses or it's totally private.

Shelbyville, Tennessee is the "walking horse capital of the world" and it's in a beautiful area, but not within a reasonable commuting distance of Huntsville. Hwy 231 north of Fayetteville is a challenge.

Thank you! Appreciate your responses. I am also reaching out to fellow equestrians for help. Sorry for the 'lingo'......rather presumptuous on my part. Not easy to explain in lay terms.

Your title drew me- I am moving to the Southeast next year I hope and God willing! This group does not seem very equestrian-y so I was surprised to see the term hunter jumper. I'm a recently retired braider for the AAs so have an extensive network of people nationwide who can usually throw out some good recs for any given area. I'll ask for you

Default Barn in Huntsville area

I'm going to say there aren't any barns here that have exactly what you are looking for. There are few places in Murfreesboro and Birmingham that are about an hour and a half away that have what you are looking for. There are a few barns here that have covered arenas, Flint Ridge Farm is one, but they do not have private turnout. Do you meet your trainer at shows? Can you board there?
