That is the point. You are getting your share. Huntsville/Madison is not a crossroads. Local demand is almost all you have. Who goes through Huntsville to go 'where'?

Yes, Hays Farm is the development. My wife and I are planning on building a house there once we know more information since Blossomwood has basically priced us out of the neighborhood. We would love to stay there but in order to increase square footage it's not worth the hundred thousand or two hundred thousand dollar increase and be house poor. What irks me about the Hays Development is they announced the plans 2 or 3 months ago and set up a website where they were going to put more information. Well the contact information is useless because I have sent an email asking for more information three weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. Why set up a contact email if you're not going to respond? All we want to know is who is going to be the builders of the houses and a timeline so we can make plans.

They haven't released the builders' names yet. We're all waiting to hear!

Does it normally take this long to announce that? We've never built before so this is our first experience with this

I used to live in that area (Whitesburg Estates) and it was developed by Hayes. I suspect that one of the developers will be Jeff Enfinger, who is related to the Hayes. He may even be the exclusive developer.

Assuming it happens, the development will be a big boon to Southeast Huntsville (tecnically Southwest, but generaly lumped under Southeast). As others have stated, that section of South Parkway looks pretty shabby after having been there since the 60s boom years, so perhaps such a large development will clean all that up.

Jeff Enfinger is definitely the developer. He just hasn't released who the approved builders are going to be at this time.

Lol.. that's a very very very interesting yet extremely diluted perspective. But anyways I think Huntsville's next big thing should be a cluster of 300 + foot towers downtown or near downtown.
