Research Park Blvd work has started (live, cars, to work)

Or at least they've set up the orange barrels, and just as importantly, lowered the speed limit to 45. The work to be done is between I-565 and US 72, about a 2 mile stretch.

I was out yesterday (Saturday) around noon, and the police were heavily patrolling for the new speed limit (even though no actual work was being done yet), and had several cars stopped. Hopefully they were just issuing warnings until drivers get used to the new lower speeds. Lower speeds will be important once the workers get on site.

All the signs refer to work being done on "Highway 255". I've lived here most of my life, and have never heard that road referred to that way. It's either been Rideout Rd, or the past few year, Research Park Blvd. But never has anyone called it Hwy 255 that I know of. Those signs could lead to some confusion, I suppose ....
