What's your favorite-unknown-off-the-beaten-path place to shop to find mdse of all kinds without spending a fortune? I'm sooooo tired of shopping in the same old places for the same old things.....

Goodwill for clothes.
Grocery store for food.
Gas station for gas.
Internet for (just about) everything else. I can't imagine ever visiting a mall AND saving time AND saving money.

Don't worry though, my wife will find them. She's almost as cheap as I am:

Athens Consignment Center (CHANGES RESALE) just one block north of the courthouse on Jefferson Street is the place to go. If you're looking for the best quality, condition, and current styles - and at least 90% mall brands or better - you won't be disappointed. Not your "run of the mill" consignment store at all.

I LOVE the Limestone Flea Market, located on Hwy 72, about 1/2 mile west of County Line Road. Only open on the weekends, but you'll find anything and everything there (mostly new stuff), at bargain prices. If you're in the market for rugs, you can't beat Suggs Rugs there; hundreds of rugs at terrific prices, and they will spend a lot of time explaining the various types, dyes, weaves, colors, etc. Also, several vendors with designer knockoff sunglasses at 2 for $10. And the fresh candied apples......yummy.
