The official Census Bureau estimates for cities will be issued later this month, I think on May 25.

Anybody want to make their own estimates as to what these numbers will be? Here are my out-of-the-blue guesses for some of the larger cities in Alabama:

Birmingham: 194,620
Huntsville: 220,561 (the city's own estimate is 227,000+)
Madison: 60,942
Mobile: 182,354 (before annexation, if it happens)
Montgomery: 196,400
Tuscaloosa: 101,500

Lol check Hover, they are boomin! Easy to make an error with numbers.
Speaking of Hoover will it be the next 100k Alabama city? It would seem so being so close now but it could still take a decade or more.

That list is work of sheer fiction.

Huntsville's being held hostage by how much is budgeted to the military, NASA and other big dollar government programs.

Our future population going to be based on forces beyond the control of locals.

I just hope that Katie Britt gets to be really powerful in her senatorial committees. We're going to need her to be a female version of Senator Shelby--at less than half his age. She could represent us for a long, long time.

Agree with AU HSV’s question. How so? Hostage is what way? Federal resources fund much of DC. Colorado Spirngs same thing with Carson and Petersen. Missoula has NPS and department of Interior. Don’t forget the Senior senator from Alabama, Tubberville. Hoping that senator Britt is different than Shelby.
