Highway 99 in west Limestone county (a state road) has had an issue coming up the hill at Mt Rozell for at least a few months. I have mentioned it before. Now the traffic cones on the side of the road that indicate the severe drop-off have themselves fallen off the drop-off.

I cannot remember many situations where a clear and present danger has been ignored by a state highway department as long as this. My comment here is not to do anything but give an attorney for someone injured in an "accident" because of this the ammunition to claim that it is a KNOWN and obvious danger to the public - and put a date to that.

Apparently, according to the highway department, we are ALL supposed to be "high-steppers." Last year, a road that was heavily traveled in the area was closed --- because a KID decided to tell his parents that the road was about to completely fall into a creek.

HALL-OH??? Montgomery? Anyone?

Reported to ALEA, state troopers, also on nextdoor.

If you drive the road, it is obvious. Tired of this crap. Fix it or pay the consequences.

I am not one to upset government applecarts as strongly as this, but there are kids in busses going down that road.
