When you said adult dance classes........cough..cough.

Try:

The Dance Company ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop
It's in Madison, but I hear it is wonderful!

North Alabama Dance Center
ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern

Southern Elegance ballroom

Alegro Academy of Dance ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip-hop

Heidi Knight School of Dance
(http://www.heidiknightdance.com/courses.html - broken link) ballet, tap, jazz,hip-hop

Hope this helps!

The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers dance classes. You don't need to be a student to take them.

Hi, I'm new in from LA (California, that is).

I was taking Salsa dance lessons out there for a couple years, and am interested in continuing.

I've checked out (the websites of) all the places listed in this forum, and some mention salsa, but
don't have it in their schedules anywhere. )-:

Are there any good Salsa dance studios locally? Non-locally?

Thanks!

I highly recommend the Rocket City Dance Club. On Artie Street behind Leeman Ferry Road, between Bob Wallace and Drake.

They are a good ballroom studio however if you want SALSA - Salseroblanko is the instructor. He is very good. He is a salsa specialist. You should go to Club Rush and see him dance and teach.

He is the host of the best SALSA night and spot in Huntsville. Many ballroom people go there too.

Club Rush is at 109 Northside Square, downtown Huntsville. This used to be the JAZZ FACTORY. It is great inside and Salseroblanko is really fun and entertaining!!

His site is www.salseroblanko.net

Check him out. Also come to Club Rush!! SALSA NIGHT is on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 7 pm - 10 pm!!

Great crowd and SMOKE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that!!

Rocket City Dance does a pretty decent job of teaching salsa. Naomi is the instructor and she's very patient, yet will challenge you a bit. Lessons are informal and don't cost much ($5/person per lesson) with no contract to sign so it's worth giving a try a couple times.
