It's that time again. Visit Big Spring Jam XVI for ticket and schedule information.

And don't let the name fool you, we know it's not Spring...

In last Sunday's paper it gave a list of the performers for those 3 days. It sounds like a big Woodstock without the extras if you know what I mean.

And if you like Big Spring Jam, you'll LOVE Riverfest in Chattanooga usually in June. The drive is only about 2 hrs. They set up a big floating stage for the performers with a huge video screen on the back so people who are on their boats can watch the concerts from the water.

I saw tons of kids/small children there last year. I mean small, like in strollers. I think it is okay during the day, but I would be cautious at night. The security is good, but I am over protective and would prefer all little kiddies be home safe and sound. Maybe try it this year and see what you think for next year. But bottom line, kids are allowed and a lot of them will be there.

I may go on Sunday afternoon--depends on how long my daughter's friends hang out after her bday sleepover.

And how tired I might be

They have some great performers this year. Something for everyone. It looks like it will be a nice weekend too.

Yay, Big Spring Jam starts tonight!

And I have to mirror what everyone else has said, it's perfectly safe for kids and teens! Heck, I remember when my brother and I were young teens, we'd go in with my parents and then split off so we could go see the "cool" bands while they went to see the oldies and we'd all meet back up later on. Fun times.
