If it is referring to the GE plant; not really that large plus North Alabama doesn't appear to be in running.

MONTGOMERY – Governor Bob Riley will announce on Wednesday that a major international corporation has selected Alabama as the location of a new aviation facility. Governor Riley met with officials from this company to promote Alabama as the site of this facility when he was at the Farnborough Air Show in July. The company is expected to employ 400.

The announcement will take place on Wednesday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Old House Chamber of the State Capitol.

Here it is, not really a huge deal. Nor could it be in this area:

Quote:
Gov. Bob Riley announced today that GE Aviation selected Alabama as the site of a coatings plant for military jet engines.
The $45 million plant is projected to employ 300 to 400 workers, building components for the F136 jet engine. The Cincinnati-based company said it was in the final stages of selecting a location for the plant inside the state and expects to make a decision in the next 3 months.
"This is a project we have aggressively pursued and we're proud this prestigious international company is coming to Alabama," Riley said.
Today's announcement at the state Capitol was attended by officials from Tuscaloosa, Tallapoosa, Lee and Macon counties who said they hoped to land the project.
GE said the Alabama environmental coatings plant will be about 200,000 square feet. The company said the coatings are used to enhance the durability of jet engine components by protecting the base metal from corrosion and harsh temperatures.

105 houses hit Valley MLS today; the most I have ever seen. What is going on? Is the bottome about to fall out?

I read Native's post as a humorous post. Huntsville has been/ will be an open city, welcoming of all who wish to live and contribute to forward progress. I live in a neighborhood that began in the early 1900's. It was started by a bunch of folks from MA. The residents came from all over the growing Nation. I have discovered that this neighborhood has touched so many lives in Huntsville. All this from a bunch of Yankees, no less. Natives and transplants are equal partners here. Thanks, Huntsville, from this relocated Bluegrass Boy.

Is this what Gov. Riley hinted about for the old Delphi plant?
