Hi all,

Thanks for looking.

My brother and I just moved here a couple months ago and love it!!!

The one thing I miss is Fry's electronics

Is there any Computer - Electronics superstores like Fry's electronics?

Please tell me there is something better than Bestbuy or Circuit City.

What are the best Computer - Electronics stores in the area?

Thanks

Michael

I miss Fry's too. There are are few others:

Though it's a good thing in some ways Frys isn't here. I may walk into Fry's intending on spending $20, but I leave having spent over $100. Sort of like my wife at a shoe store.

My wife's cocaine:

I know it is not Fry's, but check out GigaParts on 72 west of Target:
Home, Radios - GigaParts, Inc.

With all the geeks in this town, I'd think Fry's would be a hit.

Maybe all the engineers spend more time at the hardware store?

O.K., I can live without the Fry's. I mean come on, we've got Rack Room Shoes and DSW. Who could ask for more!! Oh, and let's not forget, my special VIP Shoebuy.com discount card.

My husband would definitely be at Fry's regularly if there was one in Huntsville.

The Fry's has become more of Best Buy/ Circuit City type of stores, selling giant screen TVs, refrigerators, appliances, etc. Also, the prices are no longer as attractive as when they first opened, a lot more competition now. Computer prices also have come down a lot since then, so not many are motivated to buy parts for upgrade, which Fry's was well known for.

It is still a fun place to browse. For example, the Anaheim store has a row full of "spy cam" stuff. The gadget geeks (like me) could (and did) have a field day in the store!!
