Did you check any of the numerous online databases that provide this basic information?

Plenty of blacks, not an inordinate amount of black professionals - I'd say average to slightly below average.

I'm guessing you're asking this in dating terms. If that's so, Huntsville isn't the greatest for "meeting someone" from what I can tell. It looks like its overwhelmingly dominated by married couples with children.

Bad place to meet a young professional single woman.. I meet more of those when I go anywhere else out of town. The women have it better here though.

All of these forums that I create are for my cousin who I want to move to Huntsville! She is a black professional woman who lives in Rochester, NY. She is originally from Alabama. She wants a software test engineering job that pays over $70,000. She works or has worked at Xerox in NY. She has a 4-year old daughter and wants to move somewhere where there is a pretty decent African American professional population. She wants to move to Atlanta, but has never been to Huntsville before. She asked me to help her find a job, but I came here to get more answers. I told her that Huntsville will be better for her considering the fact that engineering pays more here, and she has a growing child. She likes shopping and if she moves here, that part of her will be satified.

If someone is looking for a good network of young black professionals, I think steering her away from Atlanta is borderline criminal.

But I get paranoid whenever a good looking woman with eastern european accent comes onto me.... Too many security briefings I've been to, I'd guess.....

To mm42, I don't agree with you because I was told that Huntsville is number 2 when it comes to raising a good black family. Not letting her get a better life quality in Huntsville is more than borderline criminal.
