Can guys play (or do they discriminate against men)?

I'd guess they would discriminate. Plus they are way more serious than I want or need to be.

I just want to find some over 40 guys who are equally out of shape as me who want to shoot some hoopage.

I'm 47 and I play basketball a couple times a week - but I just put on an MP3 player and shoot and rebound for 45 minutes. I shoot either at the hoop near the fraternities at UAH or at Goss and Skinner or Aerobee and Patton on Redstone Arsenal.

A guy I know plays at the UAH gym early in the morning. That's not free though.

I swim at Dublin Park a couple mornings a week and I hear people playing basketball in the gym there. Also not free - $3 for a drop in fee.

There are also some hoops off of Technology Drive in the Research Park. Never see anyone using them.

There used to be two sets of hoops, on the north side and the south side of Technology (you may have been the person that pointed them to me a while back...thanks) Anyway, I drove around and the southern ones seemed to have been removed for maybe some construction or something. The northern ones are on the Teledyne property near the nursery school and ITT. I'd use them since I only work a block from there but I don't want some security dude to come out and hassle me. So I go about another mile out to UAH.

No, thanks. Too far. Can't commit. Not enough time.
