Where at Parkway Place did you get your tags? What are the hours. I have heard that the one in the grocery store doesn't open until 1:30 and the line is long. This won't work for me since I have to pick the kids up at 2:30 and who knows how long it would take to wait in line. I definately don't want to take the kids with me.

There's a DMV place in Madison, right off Hwy 72 (university) and wall triana.

It's inside of "Southern Market" by the west end (next to pharmacy). There's no sign outside so you can't tell. But I went there today and only had to wait in line for 5 minutes!

transferred licence yesterday from out of state
go to the right place and read what you need from official site first

they need weekend hours and more locations where out of state transfers can be done before BRAC really starts a swell, maybe they could afford to open the church street office on two saturdays a month.

i met a nice young man with a good education who is looking for a job while waiting, only a fellony holding him back. another nice lady in a mumu and bedroom slippers had some questions about identification, oddly, the staff didn't seem to understand her or her disdain for "the government." one man and his friend asked for asisstance from management and were warmly greeted by two troopers.

it was much nicer than I expected

i did the tags for one car at another office, sadly, i have to renew in person again in one month since "caution" starts with a "c" and March is the month for "c" names to renew.

What hours are they open? Online it says they open at 8:30 but I have heard they don't open until 1:30.

Can I change my address on my licence there?

I believe they are open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. I was there at 11:30am and they were open.

Call this number 256-722-9750 to make sure. See this website for map & direction.

I changed my address while I was getting my tag so I am sure they can do it there.

We are going to be getting tags for 2 cars. Do I need to have the cars there? Did they check the vin# on your car?

No they did not bother to check. But make sure you bring your certificate of title for both cars. That's what they look for. They will also take away your certificate and mail you new ones.

I went to Southern Family Markets and they checked the VIN on 1 of my cars, but did not check when I took my other car.
