Don't really want to join the Huntsville Tennis club, but looking to play some tennis.

Lots of nice courts in Athens, but no one ever uses them.

Would you be interested in playing at lunch time for maybe an hour, any time between say, 11 and 1? I work in Research Park. I'm up for it.

Hey Charles, what courts are in the area? Since I'm job hunting, I have time to play - just let me know when and where via PM.

That would work.

Join HITL or USTA league if you want to play regularly. They play at the Huntsville Tennis Center and other courts. You do not have to be a member of HTC, just have to pay the $6 per session to play the match. There are links to the league info on the Huntsville Tennis center website.

Don't really want to travel all the way to the tennis center, but that might have to be the option once I get a new job.

Dublin Park has some really nice courts too, it is a little closer to Athens and a lot closer to the RP than the Tennis Center. They also have lessons and I believe leagues as well. I think it does cost a little to play at them though.

I haven't played recently, but have used the courts at both Athens High School (nice) and the park at Hobbs & East Street. The park's courts I do see used quite a bit...mostly when I walk by in the AM and PM. The aren't great (concrete, not clay, of course), but they aren't terrible, either.
