Out of all my years in Huntsville, I've never heard of Midtown. Where is Midtown located?

Born and raised here and have never heard of such a place. Just because Atlanta has a "Midtown" doesn't mean all cities do. Heck, we barely have a downtown. I guess the Hospital District could develop into sort of a midtown. But as of now, no one refers to it as such.

I used to hear that term back in the '60s as a way of referring to the neighborhoods that are east of the Parkway and between Governors Drive and Bob Wallace Avenue. Everything south of Bob Wallace was considered south Huntsville back then.

From about 14th street up to about 59th, Hudson on one side, East River on the other -- although some will tell you it's between like 31st and 59th flanked by 3rd Ave and 9th Ave.

Seriously though, who said "Midtown Huntsville?" I mean was it in relation to where something is located? Maybe they were messin' with ya.
